Bargains at the mall

I was thoroughly pleased with the bargains I found at the mall this weekend.

Retail prices: $56 for bag, $6.99 and $4.99 for journals, $10 and $10.50 for lotions, $12 for lip gloss.

Total retail price: $100.48 + tax

What did I pay? $22.40 total.

Sweet.

Belk (a Southern chain?) had their handbags on sale for 50% off lowest price, Bath and Body Works was having their semi-annual clearance, and Waldenbooks had a 75% off clearance section.

Scrapbookers: A free download

One of my favorite scrapbooking gurus, Becky Higgins, has a free download available on her site. She had been selling a really cool kit called Project 365. It encouraged you to take a picture every day this year, just slip them in page protectors and add a tad of journaling at the bottom. A real quick, easy way to save memories from your family. I loved the idea and got online to purchase the kit the morning it went on sale, but it sold out before I could get one. With so many disappointed customers, Becky put many of the items online to print yourself. I love this idea and am keeping up with it so far, all thirteen days of this year. :)

Suze Orman's Free Book

GPS

If you're looking for a GPS for somebody this Christmas, check out the Garmin 750 at Sam's Club. It cost $400 if you buy it from Garmin but it's only $200 at Sam's Club.

Now I know you can get other Garmin models for closer to a hundred dollars but the 750 comes packed with great features such as MP3 player, radio transmitter, picture viewer, wide screen, and spoken directions including street names. Very sweet deal.

Cricut Cartridges

If anyone happens to have a Cricut machine (I do, thus the excitement!) - cartridges are $30 at Michaels today (Thanksgiving night) and I think tomorrow. Awesome deal, as these retail for almost $90! My friend picked up a Disney Princess and "Going Places" for me tonight - woohoo!
